Holy Rosary Church is a Roman Catholic place of worship. The Roman Catholic religion is based on four distinctive characteristics - one, holy, catholic, apostolic. In its oneness, the Catholic Church remains unified in its teachings and its authority, deriving both from its founder Jesus Christ, who commissioned His vicar in Rome to carry on His work on earth. Anyone deviating from this principle of unity, whether in doctrine or in authority, would automatically be alienated from being a member of the same church.
The second characteristic of the Roman Catholic Church is its holiness, which is the sole purpose of any house of worship. The Catholic Church maintains its mark of holiness by its official liturgies, and by its prayer life inside and outside its churches throughout the world. The holiness of its members, both those vowed as priests, deacons, religious sisters and brothers, and the many lay people who live good lives in their homes and at work is the mainstay behind the Church's claim to sanctity.
The third characteristic of the Catholic Church is its Catholicity, which means "universality" or a church spread throughout the world. This began and continues to be done in obedience to its founder, Jesus Christ, who mandated to His apostles that the faith He established be spread not only within the confine of Jerusalem, but throughout the World.
The fourth characteristic of the Roman Catholic Church is its apostolicity, which means that a line of succession in spiritual power through the sacrament of Holy Orders can be traced back to the time of the Apostles, the immediate followers of Jesus Christ. It is presently found in the pope, the bishops, the priests and deacons.
We invite you to share in the Roman Catholic religion and in our beliefs.
